Salud Family Health Centers - Services

Our Programs & Services

The Salud system provides a full spectrum of high-quality, comprehensive, culturally competent, primary medical and dental care, including obstetrics and out-patient care. These services are provided by physicians, physician assistants, licensed psychologists, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, case managers and health educators. Salud promotes prevention and early intervention, thus keeping underinsured or uninsured individuals out of hospital emergency rooms.

Health Services Integration

Salud is dedicated to integrating the total health care needs of the patient in one clinical setting by providing medical, dental and mental health services at many of its sites with the ultimate goal of providing all of these services at all sites. Currently Salud has dental services in four of the nine communities it serves. Mental health services are available at all of the clinics.

Additionally, Salud has a tradition of working with social workers and case managers to address the psychosocial needs of its patients. Research has shown that patients in need of mental health services experience lower relapse rates and have higher follow-up rates when they receive both medical and therapy services in the same clinical environment. Salud is attempting to be responsive to the total health needs of its patients by providing mental and dental services as well as medical services at its clinics.
