Salud Clinic Locations
Salud has considerable experience in multi-site management. Since opening
its second clinic in 1976, Salud has successfully expanded to 14 clinics
in nine communities within six counties.
The Salud system allows for significant input and decision-making at the
local level. Salud's organizational structure has achieved an effective
balance between centralization and de-centralization of functions necessary
for delivery of quality healthcare. Economies of scale are achieved at each
of the clinics through shared services including an extensive MIS system,
a sophisticated billing and statistical system, patient tracking systems,
risk management procedures, patient grievance procedures, systems for contracting
with insurers, systems for recruitment and retention and the development
of system-wide clinical protocols. Central purchasing, inventory control,
and pharmacy services further reduce the operating costs of the individual
clinic.
Payment Options
Salud's clinics provide an important safety net function within the communities
they serve. The majority of Salud's clients have little or no access to
other health care providers due to a lack of private insurance. Salud has
a firm commitment to provide care to all people, and does not turn patients
away based on finances, insurance coverage or ability to pay.
Salud's patient payment mix:
| Medicaid |
30% |
| Medicare |
4% |
| Private Insurance |
12% |
| Other Public Insurance |
4% |
| Sliding Fee Scale |
50% |
Payment is expected at time of services. Salud's skilled staff assists
patients in finding the right payment plan to pay for their health care.
Salud accepts many forms of payment, including:
-
Private insurance
- Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+)
-
Medicaid
-
Medicare
-
Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP)
All Salud clinics are Medicaid/CHP+ Enrollment Sites. Parents may be eligible for an "ability to pay" discount. The discount is based on family size and income
which is determined at the time the patient registers at a Salud clinic.
Individuals and families earning less than 250% of the federal poverty
guidelines are eligible to receive services for co-pays as low as $7.00.
